Medical Professionals
Mudiro works with experienced medical professionals who are passionate about sharing their knowledge and contributing to the long-term development of local healthcare systems.
Our placements in Zambia focus on medical education and professional training, bedside teaching, and train-the-trainer programmes. International specialists work directly alongside local doctors, clinical officers, and nursing staff in everyday clinical practice.
Our priority is not to treat as many patients as possible in a short period of time. Instead, we focus on sharing practical medical knowledge, empowering local healthcare professionals, and building lasting medical expertise where it is needed most.
Our Medical Focus Areas in Zambia
Specific areas of clinical practice and medical training are defined in close collaboration with local healthcare facilities and partners, ensuring they are tailored to the actual needs on the ground.
Where We Work
Our medical professionals are currently working at several healthcare facilities in Zambia, including:
- Chipata First Level Hospital in Lusaka
- Siavonga Hospital am Lake Kariba
- University Teaching Hospital (UTH) in Lusaka
We work closely with local healthcare teams and our strategic partner, the Keepers Zambia Foundation, to support medical training and knowledge sharing.
Who We're Looking For
We are looking for experienced medical professionals who are passionate about medical education and knowledge sharing, and who are willing to work respectfully within existing local healthcare systems.
What we’re looking for:
- Solid professional experience and medical expertise
- Enthusiasm for teaching and bedside training
- Good English communication skills
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt and improvise in resource-limited healthcare settings
- A respectful, collaborative approach that values local expertise
- Willingness to adapt to the needs and priorities of local healthcare teams
- Openness to cross-cultural collaboration
- A genuine commitment to sharing knowledge and building local expertise, rather than focusing solely on short-term clinical work
Our Approach
Mudiro’s goal is not to replace local healthcare professionals.
Instead, we work alongside local teams to develop, share, and establish medical knowledge and skills that can continue to be passed on and strengthened within the local healthcare system.
