Mudiro was founded in Switzerland in 2014. The starting point was a personal experience in northern Namibia and the realization that sustainable improvements in medical care cannot be achieved through materials or short-term missions alone, but primarily through knowledge, relationships, and long-term collaboration.
From an initial commitment in Andara, an eleven-year medical continuing education program developed with local hospitals, healthcare professionals, communities, and institutional partners. Starting in 2026, Mudiro is transferring this experience into a new, structured framework in Zambia.
Today, Mudiro stands for practical medical continuing education, train-the-trainer programs, bedside teaching, targeted specialist projects, and the long-term strengthening of local health systems. In Zambia, Mudiro works in a strategic partnership with the Keepers Zambia Foundation, focusing on pediatrics, internal medicine, and gynecology/oncology.
