Kindergardens

For the inhabitants of the north of Namibia, a job requires life and helps to preserve the existence of the family. Unfortunately, it is often the case that there is work, but especially the mothers are not able to work since the many young children would then be at home without care. By setting up local kindergartens, we give working parents the opportunity to care for their children between the ages of 2 and 5.

The initiative for the kindergarten project was created in June 2016 together with Stefanie Perren, who came to Namibia as part of her Mudiro mission as a paramedic. For example, the kindergartens for the little ones of the hospital employees are to be built at the locations supervised by Mudiro.

The construction of the kindergartens is carried out by the villagers. The kindergartens are built hand in hand or suitable existing buildings are renovated and brought to life. Even the little ones help diligently, they diligently paint the initially barren walls with the caregivers, so that a child-friendly playground is created. Mudiro supports the project in the planning, procurement of building materials and leads the implementation.

The little ones are not only looked after but also already supported in pre-school. It is our concern to give even the youngest children a good start in life and to steer them into a life with a perspective. The kindergarten should be a nice change for the children, for the parents a relief to the difficult and hard life in the bush.
